Big portion of food, service 10/10 The omelets were very delicious They only take cash! ATM inside didn’t work :(
Very nice place to dine in for breakfast. They always have very hot coffee and delicious food. I enjoy their 2x2x2x2 and the French toast. The waitress is always ensuring you have everything you need and is very lovely.
Always see their sign and wonder if they're still open... and they are! Family owned for the last 49ish years. They have parking in the back which can be accessed through saticoy or back alley. The place has that old diner vibe, pretty neat... plus I feel the responsibility to support our local businesses. The portions are big and prices are fair. Great service also! You are instantly greeted... Oh! They dont accept credit cards so bring cash...We didn't bring any cash , oops! But they do accept venmo and zelle Let's support our beautiful San Fernando valley
Wow! This is such a good breakfast spot!! Make sure you have cash on you, otherwise there is an ATM right outside, but definitely try this place! The pancakes were so fluffy and spongy, not too sweet or heavy, literally perfect. The Spanish Omlette is very delicious, the red sauce is homemade, and it kind of tastes like a wet burrito. The hashbrowns are also perfect--crispy (but not too crispy), buttery, and they weren't dry, like, you could eat them with or without ketchup. My over-easy eggs were made perfect as well, which is honestly kind of rare. The whites were cooked, but the yolks were super runny. Everything was really delicious, the coffee was good, and the service was really good and fast. I think I've found my new go-to breakfast spot. And the prices here are great. It's like $7 for 3 pancakes, 2 eggs, and hashbrowns. So glad we stopped in today :)
Great family-owned business, the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Very cozy, vintage atmosphere. I had the chicken fried steak with two eggs and some hot cakes on the side, all of them tasted great. Note that the parking may be difficult or tight, but there are spaces toward the back. Very unique diner in the valley. Would definitely come here again!
CASH ONLY. As soon as they set the food down, I knew it was going to be a great meal based on the quality of the food and how great it looked. Heart’s is a small diner located just west of Van Nuys in the heart of the valley. I would say it’s the classic retro diner and has that classic LA look on the inside. They have a lot of different seating options, both booth and counter and a giant bustling kitchen. There is a parking lot with free parking attached with plenty of spaces. Also, our server was very polite and all the food items came out very quickly. They also did a great job with the drink refills and checking in on us often. They have a fairly large menu filled with all sorts of diner classics. Based on a lot of other reviews, I wanted to try their Country Fried Steak, and I am very happy that I did so. The white gravy on top was truly delicious and obviously homemade, the steak itself was cooked perfectly, and not too crispy, and their homemade butter really was delicious and added to the flavors. I honestly enjoyed every bite and was impressed at the cost and quality. It is important to note that it is cash only but they do accept Zelle and also have a ATM inside. The valley is full of amazing diners and I would consider Heart’s to be one of them. It’s truly a great breakfast option and I would recommend to anyone. I drove up from West LA specifically for it and I’m happy that I did so.
Honestly a 10/10, amazing little hole in the wall family owned dinner. Feels welcoming, warm, and cozy. Don't even get me started on the food though, 11/10. Great price, great portions, incredible taste! Would recommend will be going again!
I love Breakfast Foods, more than my friends sometimes, and this spot really nails in how delicious and filling breakfast spots should be, portions are great and HOLY the prices are amazing, new favorite spot! Also, I don’t know how but one of the ladies working inside the restaurant somehow heard me muttering on wanting ketchup, and me having anxiety to speak up didn’t say anything, but magically she shows up with ketchup right at the table, FIVE STARS XOXO thank you! <3
